Accounting Assistant (Entry-level)

Responsibilities

  •  Handling all accounts payable and accounts receivable functions from invoice receipt to payment
  • Prepare check disbursement, coding and depositing miscellaneous checks
  • Process Semimonthly payroll
  • Weekly Remittance payment to RCCGNA
  • Work with Treasury to send quarterly statements to members 
  • Work with Treasury to reconcile Members’ Giving records
  •  Ensure timely and accurate processing of Vendor payments
  • Maintain and process expense reports in Excel
  • Perform account reconciliations
  • Follow up with outstanding balances
  •  Perform all daily and monthly duties related to cash balance and month end closings
  • Additional duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 1-2 years’ experience
  • Quickbooks Proficiency
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – Excel and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill


Administrative/Outreach Coordinator

 The Admin/Outreach Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Sr. pastor and other pastoral staff and leadership team. Confidentiality is a must. The officer must be able to work with others as part of a team environment, as well as independently. The Admin/Outreach officer reports to the Senior Pastor and serves as staff and church’s resource to outreach ministry teams

 Administrative Duties 

  •  Keep the Sr. Pastor and appropriate leaders abreast of members situations
  • Consult with department heads regarding their administrative needs 
  • Work with membership to ensure that first-time visitors and new members receive a letter and/or packet, as appropriate
  • Work with various departments to ensure that materials needed for training/education are available
  • Work with directorate of workers  to ensure volunteers are trained before being posted
  • Review and edit presentation materials brochures, booklets, etc for the Sr. pastor
  • Work with Protocol dept. to ensure Sr. Pastor’s preparation for engagements  
  • Work with the Accounting dept. to ensure that quarterly and yearly statements of financial giving are timely distributed to members

Outreach Duties

 

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with other Outreach Personnel  from other churches throughout Chicagoland area to build partnerships and expand the Outreach Ministry Network
  • Work with community organizations within Albany Park and the city at large 
  • Liaison between the church and the community/city
  • Work with the evangelism team in developing various initiatives for outreach 
  •  Encourage people to serve “beyond the church’s doorsteps” and into the community  
  • Coordinate all the church’s outreach programs and develop new initiative
  • Other duties as assigned
